Most profiles make at least two of these. Here's what to fix.
Being too generic
"I love to travel, laugh, and try new things" describes 80% of dating profiles. Specifics are what make someone stop scrolling. Instead of "I love food," try "I've eaten at 40 of the 50 best ramen spots in Tokyo."
Generic: "I enjoy hiking and being outdoors." Specific: "I've hiked 120km of the Camino — my feet hated me, I'd do it again tomorrow."
Using negative language
"Not looking for hookups," "if you can't handle me at my worst," "please have your life together" — these all create friction before you've said anything interesting about yourself.
Drop the disclaimers. If you want something real, show it through what you say about yourself, not through warnings.
Listing adjectives instead of showing them
"Funny, adventurous, loyal" is a list any dating app would generate. If you're actually funny, say something funny. If you're adventurous, give one specific example.

Wrong length
